I wish to design a crane mounted truck of 2Ton, what all the automobile parts will suitable to design the truc?
Dear Friends,
I wish to design a crane mounted industrial truck of overall weight 2 to 3 tons (including the load). I need a Diesel engine, wheel and brake system, drive system, steering system to desii\gn a truck. Please suggest me what all the available cheepest automobile spare parts will suitable for my design and whr can i get these parts easily
its to light to carry anything and still be a crane.2 small of a footprint, and not worth building.i m sure you realize youll be limited to like 15-20 ft and with the small footprint, outriggers are a must, plus youd have to mount the crane really offset to balance the load.it would be useless below say 80 degrees, cause it just wont be heavy enough
even a big sky trac or sky lift is very limited on lift with the boom extended.you can however adjust your angle, then extend boom to raise a lil more weight, but ive seen 1 tip over as well.i drove a big cat with like a 40 ft boom,at 45 degrees, it was limited to around 750 pounds even though it would lift more.in other words no mobile crane is a good idea.momentum is gonna kill any mobility.
